Tony Kgoroge has been fired from The Wild; the new local soapy series due to start on M-Net in April. Tony is one South Africa’s leading actors (he is top!) and a vocal activist for transformation in the industry. His dismissal will not go unchallenged and he, along with a coalition of unions who are backing him, will be in talks with M-Net over the course of next week. Tony says, “I’m fighting for justice and truth no matter who it’s for or against. Like Malcolm X.”

For those who don’t who know this son of Africa, he’s appeared in works such as Lord of War, Conversation on a Sunday Afternoon (directed by Khalo Matabane), Hijack Stories, Hotel Rwanda, Skin and Blood Diamond. He is married to the lovely Sthandiwe, who is an actress, and they are proud parents to four children.
Not one to be idle, in the meantime Tony will be directing, reviewing scripts and is due star beside Jamie Bartlett in feature that is being shot in couple of months time.
