I’ve fallen in love with Seattle for its diverse landscape, that and because just about at every turn there’s some form of art. Instead of the usual one/two picture post for this category I’ve included a number of photos to show an array of shots of the city within a small radius.

For the last park we hiked in the drizzling rain for almost two hours. It was really dark by the time we got the top of the magnificent falls and, me being a novice with the camera, I could not capture a decent image with or without the flash :( Nonetheless it was breathtaking! My elation was short lived when on the way down to our cars my friend (and host/tour guide/sister girl with a toddler on her back) insisted no one lag behind and to be noisy to alert bears to our presence so they stay away. Oh we made some noise alright.
Apparently in July this year a lady and her dog were on the same trail, quietly making their way back down, when a bear appeared in their path. Everyone got away unharmed... Ignorance is bliss. I would have insisted we only go as far as the lower view based on how little day we still had. I would have also missed out on a stunning more magnificent view at the top of the trail.
