Picasso And Chicago

My venture America is not without its challenges, but every now and then a sweet treat, one that I can share in some way, presents itself. My kulcha quota was given a tremendous boost when The Art Institute of Chicago exhibited over 250 pieces: just some of Picasso’s prodigious artist’s output. Having missed the ‘Picasso and Africa’ showcase at the Standard Bank Arena in 2006 I was keen to make amends.

'Old woman with gloves' 1901
'Daniel Henry-Karnweiler' 1910

 'Bullfighting'
Cubist painting 'Nude under a pine tree' 1959
Picasso's ceramics
The layers to 'Mother and Child'
Even now as an artist Picasso’s ingenuity, creativity and pervasiveness remain peerless.
