Bass!

This beauty right here is the contemporary Sarah Baartman Bass constructed by Svend Christensen of Svend's Violin. He is a violin and bow maker and also does restoration and fine tuning. 

It is amazing what thought can lead the hand to create; it tickles me to have seen some of the intricate technicalities that go into assembling a bass.   This makes me want to get a custom made musical instrument for the novelty.
